    ExxonMobil Qatar

    Education and industry partnerships play a vital role in advancing national development goals. The partnership between Qatar University and ExxonMobil Qatar serves as a distinguished model of collaboration between the academic and industrial sectors in the State of Qatar. Spanning more than two decades, this partnership has resulted in numerous educational and research initiatives aimed at supporting education, fostering innovation, and building national capacities. 

    Among the most notable outcomes of this partnership are: 

     



    1. ​​​Qatar University – ExxonMobil STEM Teachers Academy (QUESTA): 
      Established in 2012 through a collaboration between the National Educational Development Center (NEDC) at Qatar University, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and ExxonMobil Qatar, It is the sole international adaptation of the U.S.-based Mickelson ExxonMobil Teachers Academy. The program aims to empower science and mathematics teachers in Qatar with the knowledge, skills, and instructional practices necessary to effectively implement the STEM approach in classrooms. 

    2. ​"Innovators in Education": 
      This initiative focuses on promoting innovation in education and targets teachers and university students to develop educational tools and multimedia resources that enhance the quality of teaching and learning.  






    The National Educational Development Center (NEDC) plays a pivotal role in implementing these initiatives by designing and delivering professional development programs, ensuring their educational impact in schools. This enduring collaboration continues to shape the future of education in Qatar by empowering educators and fostering innovation in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030.
