    Transfer policy

    The College of Health Sciences accepts transfer students in accordance with the requirements outlined below.


    Major Programs:



    MajorGenderAdmission Criteria

    General Health

     




    Female

    Open to non-health cluster students from other colleges, including Arts and Technical tracks.

    ·       Minimum GPA 3.00 and above

    ·       Total completed credit hours preferably not more than 33 credit hours

    ·       Completion of at least two science courses with a minimum grade of B from the following list:
      

    - BIOL 101
     

    - BIOL 110
      

    - MATH 101
      

    - MATH 103
      

    - STAT 101
      

    - STAT 151
      

    - STAT 220
      

    - CHEM 101

    Biomedical Sciences

     

    Female

    Applicants must be students enrolled in the Colleges of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Nursing, or Pharmacy.

    ·       GPA 3.00 and above

    ·       Completion of a minimum of 16 credit hours, including:
      

    - CHEM 101/103
      

    - MEDI 101 (C+ and above)
      

    - PUBH 151
      

    - MEDI 102

    Male

     

     

    Applicants must be students enrolled in the Colleges of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Nursing, or Pharmacy.

    ·       GPA 2.00 and above

    ·       Completion of a minimum of 16 credit hours, including:

    - CHEM 101/103

    - MEDI 101
    - PUBH 151

    - MEDI 102




    Nutrition Sciences

    Female

    Applicants must be students enrolled in the Colleges of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Nursing, or Pharmacy.

    ·       GPA 2.00 and above

    ·       Completion of a minimum of 16 credit hours including:

     - CHEM 101/103

     - MEDI 101
     - PUBH 151

     - MEDI 102

    Public HealthFemale

    Applicants must be students enrolled in the Colleges of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Nursing, or Pharmacy.​

    • GPA 2.00 and above

    • Completion of a minimum of 16 credit hours including:

     - MEDI 101

     - PUBH 151

    Selection is competitive and subject to program capacity; meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee admission.









    Minor Programs:

    Food Safety (Department of Nutrition Sciences)

    Female

     

     

    ·       Minimum score of 5.5 in IELTS OR 61 in TOEFL iBT OR ACCUPLACER test

    ·       Completion of one basic chemistry course (core or major requirement)

    ·       Language of instruction: English

    Public Health (Department of Public Health)

    Female

     

     

    ·       Students registered in the Public Health major are not eligible

    ·       Minimum score of 5.5 in IELTS OR 61 in TOEFL iBT OR ACCUPLACER test

    ·       Language of instruction: English

    Nutrition (Department of Nutrition Sciences)

     

    Female

     

     

    ·       Students registered in the Nutrition & Dietetics major are not eligible

    ·       Minimum score of 5.5 in IELTS OR 61 in TOEFL iBT OR ACCUPLACER test

    ·       Completion of one basic chemistry course (core or major requirement)




    Acceptance is subject to the student's academic performance and departmental capacity.
